The Devils had the most difficulty setting up in the Boston zone. Their normal game of dumping the puck in and then going after it didn’t work, and their attempts at passing the puck in was well covered by Boston defensemen.
The game was played so tight, and so carefully, it looked like this was Game 1 of a playoff series between the two teams. I’d give the Devils an A for effort.
